I've been inspired to do a photo shoot to do with birds. I have researched bird make-up for girls and boys and I hope to do a photo shoot with 3 of my friends on open evening.
My main inspiration has come from seeing and drawing the birds from the Raptor Centre. This is because, they stood still they didn't move and they were the most stunning animals I've seen. I look forward to doing my photo shoot in the near future.
Here's some of the make-up inspirations that me and the models have looked into to transform them into birds...
I've taken some inspiration from one of my chosen photographers from the beginning. I have chosen Rankin again because his extreme make-up is pretty amazing. I like the way the light shines down the middle of her face and you can see the difference between light and dark. This is good because it shows a contrast. The make-up is over the top and extreme and I like it because this is how I would like my models to look. I want my models to look as much like birds as possible. I'm going to dot feathers about everywhere and all over them to show the bird transformation. Rankin is a lovely photographer and I like majority of his work, this picture spoke out to me because the eyelashes look almost aboriginal and her make-up is so in your face. I want the viewer of my photos to be surprised and shocked in a good way when they see my photographs because this will show that they have a meaning behind it.
Also I have looked into the make-up of Maleficent I like this make-up because of the way it goes right to the bottom of the eyebrows. Also I like how perfect the shape of the lips are. I used this as inspiration on one of my models. I used the colour green and added glitter to make the model look more aboriginal. Also I took inspiration from this by doing similar under eye make-up on one of the models by drawing on white pencil under her eye then red to make the eyes stand out.
This is another picture I have had thoughts and inspiration from. This is because when I did the photo shoot I placed feathers all in their hair to make them look bird-like and also one of the models thought it would be nice to have natural eye make-up then add glitter underneath and around the eyes. I like this photo because the viewer is very drawing into the models eyes and also it's very distracting as well. This photo above is called 'the ugly duckling' I think this is because she has loads of feathers all in her hair and is very much transformed into an aboriginal bird. This is exactly how I plan my models to look again when I do the next photo shoot with them.
